International Womens Day Prayer

Today, 8 March is International Women's Day.

Here is a prayer you might like to use.

Almighty God,
We lift our hands up high in praise and worship.
We give you thanks for the women in our lives and communities.
We lift our hands up high to show that we are in,
and committed to seeing a gender equal world.
We thank you for women who have led the way when the path was uncertain.
Give us wisdom to see bias and the voice to speak up against it;
Equip us to take action to seek equality,
And boldness to challenge where needed.
We are all one in Christ Jesus.
We lift our hands up high in praise and worship.
