Epping Forest Foodbank

Our friends at Epping United Reformed Church have received a thank you letter and poster from the Epping Forest Foodbank for the 77kg of food they donated in 2022 — this is apparently the same weight as a Javan Pig!

2022 was the foodbanks' busiest ever year in which they supported over 5000 individuals. Half of these were under 17 years of age who would have gone hungry otherwise. There was also an increase in the number of households reaching crisis point and not being able to afford the basics.

It is expected the foodbank will continue to see an increase in those requiring it as the trends appear likely to continue.

There is a donation point at the church so please continue to bring items if you are able to.
